Huawei Cloud KooCLI Guidance

Problem

When managing Huawei Cloud resources such as ECS, OBS, RDS, and FunctionGraph, console workflows can break script context, while direct CLI usage often gets stuck on credential setup, Profile switching, and error-code diagnosis. This skill organizes KooCLI preparation, authentication, common service paths, and troubleshooting order into engineer-oriented documentation that can be reused in local scripts, CI/CD, and operations workflows.

How it works

• Setup path: prepare Access Key ID, Secret Access Key, and a region such as cn-north-4, then verify the first service call.
• Authentication modes: use AK/SK for automation and longer-lived scripts, Token for short-lived access, and Profile for switching between projects and regions.
• Service coverage: organize commands around cloud compute, object storage, relational databases, and serverless functions, and use hcloud --help to discover more capabilities.
• Troubleshooting: inspect 401, 403, 404, 429, and 500 in sequence: credentials, IAM permissions, resource IDs, request rate, and server-side issues.

Boundaries

This is useful for turning Huawei Cloud resource operations into maintainable scripts and workflows, but it does not replace IAM design, network policy, cost controls, or API-level parameter design. Treat temporary tokens as short-lived, and verify batch uploads, deletions, or mutating operations on a small scope first.
