About this skill

Problem

Cross-language communication often fails at the usable threshold: English emails, contracts, papers, and technical docs can be translated, but the result may sound stiff, use inconsistent terminology, lose local context, or push machine-translation tone into an external setting. This skill turns translation into a reviewable workflow rather than a one-shot generation task.

How It Works

  • Scenario routing: maps requests from S1 to S8, including daily conversation, business email, academic abstracts, technical documentation, legal contracts, social media, speeches, and product-copy localization.
  • Strategy selection: chooses among literal, idiomatic, and localized rendering, and explains the reason.
  • Depth checks: reviews L1 accuracy, L2 fluency, L3 naturalness, and L4 style; uncertain terms are flagged instead of guessed.
  • Boundary collaboration: cross-language requests are handled first as translation; same-language polishing belongs to humanizer-pro. Document extraction, PPT creation, and other external needs require matching skills.

Note: it does not overwrite source files or publish output automatically. Academic translations must cite sources and be checked by a human; contract, legal, and medical output is advisory only and should be reviewed by qualified professionals.

Use Cases

  • Translate an English after-sales email into Chinese while preserving intent and tone.
  • Translate a Chinese product description into English for overseas market phrasing.
  • Review Chinese wording for English contract clauses to keep key terms consistent.
  • Translate a paper abstract into Chinese and add source and AI-assistance notes.

Best For

  • Customer-support operations staff who translate English after-sales emails into polite Chinese.
  • Legal assistants who check contract terminology and responsibility wording between Chinese and English.
  • Marketing staff who localize Chinese product copy into English for overseas audiences.
  • Graduate students who translate English abstracts into Chinese and cite sources.
