Problem

Local BIM and 3D model files or drawings such as .rvt, .nwd, .ifc, .dwg, .skp, .obj, and .fbx are often hard to inspect in a browser, share quickly, or analyze without desktop tools. Teams may need to answer practical questions such as which floor has how many windows, whether door counts meet a threshold, or which building elements are duplicated or missing. This skill puts model conversion, lightweight viewing, and data analysis in one workflow for engineers working with BIM content.

How It Works

• Model upload and online viewing: Upload local models or drawings to BIMWing, convert them into browser-viewable lightweight 3D models, and generate share links. It can also list models in the account, check transcoding status, and create links for existing models.
• Model data analysis: Run statistics, quality checks, quantity takeoff, natural-language Q&A, and spatial search on converted models. Statistical reports show element counts, type distribution, and floor distribution; data quality checks can flag duplicated elements, missing floors, or insufficient door counts; BOM export can summarize windows, doors, and other elements and export Excel or CSV.
• Key steps: After you provide a BIMWing account and confirm how credentials are stored, the skill keeps configuration locally. It asks for confirmation before reading credentials, uploading files, or saving local configuration. Analysis outputs can include web, table, and Excel reports.
