About this skill

Problem

Story generation often fails in three ways: the plot drifts as length increases, characters and subplots lose focus, and the prose becomes generic. This skill treats ultra-short, short, and medium-short fiction as separate structural constraints rather than simple expansion.

How It Works

It constrains output by length, POV, style, and genre. Ultra-short works require one core event, 1 to 3 key characters, and 1 to 2 plot beats. Short works use fixed third-person perspective, 3 to 4 beats, and may include 1 to 2 subplots. Medium-short works are limited to novel form, with 25 to 50 chapters of 500 to 1,500 characters and a crisis, reversal, or reveal every 5 to 8 chapters. It supports contemporary, historical, transmigration, xianxia, mystery, sci-fi, supernatural, folklore, campus, detective, and book-based writing.

The workflow also includes deduplication and optimization: limiting repeated core beats, reducing template-like language, matching dialogue to character voice, adjusting pacing, and trimming redundant passages before final proofreading. The output is the story body only, without extra commentary.

Notes

It fits structurally clear fiction drafts or full stories where genre voice matters. It is not aimed at heavy factual research, long serial outlines, interactive narrative, or scenarios with strict platform-specific compliance needs. Passing AI detection is a stated goal, not a guarantee across all detection systems.

Use Cases

  • For a short-story contest, produce a 3,000-15,000-character first-person ultra-short story with one or two suspense beats.
  • While writing an 8,000-30,000-character campus short story, keep third-person POV and place three or four plot beats.
  • For a 30,000-80,000-character mystery novella, generate 25-50 chapters of 500-1,500 characters with a twist every 5-8 chapters.
  • Refine an existing xianxia or sci-fi draft by reducing formulaic language, sharpening dialogue, and trimming redundancy.

Best For

  • Web novelists who need complete submission drafts within 3,000 to 80,000 characters.
  • Language teachers who need model texts constrained by POV, genre, and plot beats.
  • Product managers who need quick sample copy for different fiction genres.
  • Editors who need compliant original story drafts with less template-like language.
