About this skill
Problem
Engineers see AI signals scattered across GitHub Trending, arXiv, HackerNews, official RSS feeds, and company blogs. The bottleneck is not access, but triage: deciding which releases, papers, and community discussions matter, then turning them into a readable technical brief without manually comparing many low-signal sources.
How It Works
ai-sentinel chains collection, scoring, and report generation into one workflow. It ingests open-source projects, academic papers, community discussions, official AI blogs, tech media, and Chinese AI company sites. Items are scored by popularity, freshness, source credibility, and quality, then rendered as a Markdown morning brief, evening brief, or full report. The output groups P0 headlines, P1 releases, open-source trends, selected papers, community discussion, and a scorecard for fast scanning.
Boundaries
It works well as a daily AI intelligence digest, but it does not replace deep literature review, code review, or security compliance analysis. Report quality depends on source availability, RSS/API stability, and optional configuration for some feeds. If you only need one source channel, running the matching collector directly is the lighter path.
Use Cases
- Collect GitHub, arXiv, and HackerNews signals in the morning and produce a scannable AI brief.
- Track official RSS from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google AI to decide which releases relate to a project.
- Summarize open-source trends, papers, and community discussion into an evening report with a scorecard.
- Organize URL-deduplicated raw data into a list of recent cs.AI papers and active repositories.
Best For
- AI product leads: need to prioritize releases, papers, and community signals from multiple sources daily.
- R&D engineers: need to track GitHub trends and official blogs to shortlist usable tools and APIs.
- Technical writers: need to turn arXiv, HackerNews, and official updates into scored structured briefs.
- Research assistants: need URL-deduplicated summaries of recent cs.AI papers, repositories, and discussion threads.
