Canvas Design

Problem

When design is reduced to templates, copy stacks, and default styles, the result loses aesthetic judgment. This skill turns vague input into a single-page visual artifact with a coherent art stance, rather than an explanatory document, cartoon poster, or generic decoration.

Workflow

• First write a design philosophy in Markdown, using 4–6 short paragraphs to define form, space, color, composition, material, and text hierarchy.
• Then infer a restrained, implicit theme from the original request, recognizable to those who know it but not self-announced.
• Finally create a single .pdf or .png, emphasizing repeated patterns, limited palette, sparse typography, clear margins, and no overlap.
• It also asks for usable fonts from ./canvas-fonts and repeatedly checks that elements stay inside the canvas bounds.

Boundaries

It fits magazine pages, posters, coffee-table book spreads, and art-led visual expression. If the task needs dense information, clear process, or readability-first dashboards and product prototypes, treat it as a visual constraint rather than a full design system. Multi-page output should stay within the same philosophy while each page remains a distinct variation.
