Traditional brand identity design relies on manual sketching and iterative refinement, with the process from concept to scalable graphics often taking weeks. When brands need to rapidly respond to markets or test multiple directions, this linear workflow struggles to adapt. The specific problem lies in converting structured brand briefs (e.g., name, industry, style preferences) into technically sound visual identifiers efficiently, while ensuring consistency and recognizability across thumbnails, navigation bars, or print materials.

How the Skill Works

This skill automates the routing from brand brief to logo delivery using an AI image generation toolchain. Core capabilities include:

• Route Selection: Automatically determines the processing path based on input type. Without source images, it uses beatra.images.generate to create new concepts; with reference images, it combines assets via beatra.images.transform; and for approved drafts, it refines using beatra.images.edit. Each route invokes remote MCP tools through the bundled scripts/mcp_client.py, avoiding local dependencies.
• Brief Structuring: The skill extracts brand name, industry cues, color values (e.g., hex encoded as weighted RGB palettes), and intended use (e.g., app icon or website navigation bar). It provides default suggestions for missing non-critical information. The generation phase defaults to two concepts for user comparison, reducing decision friction.
• Paid Confirmation and Idempotency: All remote calls require displaying the final prompt, canvas size (default 1:1 square), model parameters, and confirmation once. Each call generates a unique client_request_id, ensuring retries or polls do not duplicate charges. Task status is polled via beatra.tasks.get, and recovery can be attempted with the same ID on exceptions.

Applicable Boundaries and Considerations

The skill is suitable for standard logo and app icon design, but has the following limitations:
- Input Completeness: Brand briefs must specify a name and at least one style cue (e.g., industry or color); otherwise, generated results may diverge from expectations. The skill does not handle complex animations or 3D logos.
- Tool Dependency: Interaction with the Beatra platform must occur via the bundled MCP client, with no support for other image generation APIs. Updates proceed silently, but commands still execute on failure.
- Cost Control: Paid calls are billed per net_charged_credits. Users should exercise caution with high counts (e.g., count > 2) or frequent refinements. Generated assets can be managed on beatra.ai, but variations for different ratios or backgrounds require separate focused requests.
- Review Points: Delivery checks should ensure logo clarity at thumbnail size, brand color accuracy, safety area margins, and monochrome viability. The skill does not auto-fix low resolution or composition issues but provides focused refinement suggestions.
