About this skill
Problem
Chinese technical answers often come with filler, hedging, and over-explanation, which increases token usage and makes it harder for engineers to extract the actionable part. Ancientman compresses Chinese responses to the core technical information while preserving API names, function names, config values, and full code blocks.
How It Works And Where It Stops
The skill switches between lite, full, ultra, and classical strengths. full is the default, using terse fragments and removing filler; ultra may use abbreviations and → for causality; classical uses minimal classical Chinese but forbids idioms, poetry, and historical references so technical meaning stays precise. It can adapt to styles associated with Doubao, DeepSeek, Qwen, and Minimax. When safety warnings, multi-step operations, or user confusion are detected, it pauses compression and gives a clearer explanation first. It is useful for technical Q&A, error diagnosis, and operation guidance, but not ideal for compliance records, literal step-by-step documentation, or reasoning chains that must remain fully explicit.
Use Cases
- When diagnosing a production HTTP 500 error, ask the model for causes, log checks, and fix actions in ultra mode.
- When asking why a React component re-renders, use full mode to get the reference-change cause and a `useMemo` fix.
- When drafting an API note, require the model to remove pleasantries and keep parameters, error codes, and call order.
Best For
- Backend engineers who repeatedly ask models to summarize error causes and want fewer pleasantries plus direct checks.
- Algorithm engineers integrating a Q&A assistant into Chinese products, who need strength-based reply length control and preserved code blocks.
- Technical leads reviewing model outputs for dangerous-operation warnings, who expect automatic expansion before deletions or system changes.
