About this skill
Problem
Image watermark removal targets localized mark cleanup rather than full-image regeneration. It is intended for watermarks, timestamps, semi-transparent logos, export marks, or accidental overlays that the user added or is authorized to remove. The skill should confirm the original image, target region, and permission before editing, and avoid treating third-party copyright watermarks, platform badges, or creator signatures as editable content.
How It Works
- Input: an original image plus a selection, box, or brush reference, or text describing location, appearance, color, and size.
- Localization: annotations are used only as position hints and must not remain in the output; text prompts should be specific enough to avoid accidental edits.
- Editing: uses available image editing or inpainting capabilities to restore the selected region while preserving subject, product text, background lines, lighting, and texture.
- Validation: checks for ghosts, edge halos, broken lines, repeated textures, and deformation, then saves a new file such as
photo-cleaned.png.
Boundaries
When a watermark covers facial features, complex product text, or full-frame repeated patterns, missing pixels may require speculative reconstruction; a natural-looking result does not mean the original content is recovered. Unauthorized stock photos, copyright watermarks, media sources, and platform marks are out of scope. Results should not be treated as original evidence in legal, news, contract, or medical contexts.
