Problem

When business metrics are scattered across CSV files, SQL results, and inconsistent definitions, reporting often stalls at chart-first, paste-later. This skill turns raw operational data into a deliverable analysis chain: clarify the question, clean the data, compute metrics, extract conclusions, and produce a navigable, theme-switchable HTML PPT. It is especially useful for monthly reviews, root-cause analysis, and board materials where numbers need to be explained clearly.

How It Works

• Five-phase workflow: start with period, audience, core question, and data scope, then explore, clean, build metrics, derive insights, and compose the deck.
• Data hygiene: profile fields, missing rates, and anomalies, then record cleaning rules with rationale, impact, and rollback strategy instead of overwriting raw data.
• Metric coverage: core KPIs should include YoY, QoQ/MoM, and target attainment, with trend, structure, segmentation, and anomaly analysis.
• Chart generation: use built-in html-ppt layouts such as chart-bar, chart-line, and chart-pie, inlining results as JS objects instead of rendering PNGs first.
• Deliverables: usually include index.html, analysis-report.md, cleaned data, and KPI tables.

Boundaries

Best suited for board, executive, or operations reviews; it does not replace a full BI platform. Complex interactive charts should be provided as attachments, keeping the deck focused on conclusive visuals. If metric definitions are unconfirmed, annotate GMV, revenue, and active-user definitions before drawing conclusions.
