About this skill

Problem

Personality assessments are often one-off quizzes that return a few labels, with little visibility into scoring, dimension interpretation, or follow-up advice. This skill provides a runnable 60-question Big Five (OCEAN) self-assessment flow, covering answering, scoring, and report generation.

How It Works

The skill organizes the assessment around the full test lifecycle:
- Items and scoring: Extraversion, Openness, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, and Neuroticism each have 12 items; responses use a 1-5 Likert scale, and reverse items are converted with 6 - raw score.
- Interaction and output: it explains the test first, collects answers one by one or in batches, then produces a score summary, trait tags, detailed descriptions, tailored advice, and career-fit recommendations.
- Runnable page: assets/big-five-test.html can be opened directly in a browser and supports progress display, navigation, and instant scoring.

Scope And Limits

It is suitable for learning, self-exploration, or lightweight team discussion, not clinical diagnosis or high-stakes hiring decisions. Answers should reflect genuine reactions; treat the result as a reference, since personality is multidimensional and context-sensitive.

Use Cases

  • A counselor runs a 60-question Big Five assessment before group sessions to build member profiles and discuss emotional stability and stress handling.
  • A career coach has job seekers complete the test, then uses conscientiousness and openness results to recommend matching career directions.
  • An L&D lead uses the HTML assessment page during onboarding to collect 60 answers and produce a team-level dimension score summary.
  • A university career advisor asks students to submit Big Five reports and discuss how agreeableness and neuroticism affect collaboration and stress management.

Best For

  • Psychology instructors who need to teach the OCEAN model and generate five-dimension assessment reports
  • Career coaches who need to give career-fit advice based on conscientiousness, openness, and related dimensions
  • L&D leads who want lightweight team personality analysis during onboarding
  • Frontend developers who need to embed a runnable HTML assessment page and output structured reports
