Problem

When tracking trends, monitoring competitors, or collecting topic ideas, you often need to know which Toutiao articles or videos have high views and engagement recently. Manual browsing is slow, and scattered results are hard to sort, compare, or export.

How It Works

Given a keyword, the skill queries the search endpoint and enriches each result with metrics such as viewCount, likeCount, commentCount, and repostCount. Results can be sorted by --sort views or --sort time, restricted with --hours, and filtered with --video-only. It renders a terminal table, exports CSV, and generates an interactive HTML report with in-page search, original links, and pagination.

Boundaries

The skill focuses on recently published Toutiao content rather than exhaustive historical retrieval. Detail metrics require an enrichment step, so batch queries may take time. It needs an API Key and is subject to service quota limits. It is suitable for hot topic tracking, viral content analysis, competitor monitoring, and editorial ideation, not for no-key trial use or exact full-ranking extraction.
