About this skill

Problem

Teams often do not struggle with writing reports in the abstract; the work is scattered across free text, Excel, Word, and PDF files, and the final step still requires manual formatting and sending.

How It Works

The skill turns reporting into a pipeline: it accepts free text or files, uses extraction logic to pull tasks, metrics, and blockers, then generates daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly reports from structured templates. Output is Word plus Markdown by default, with optional Excel, PPT, or PDF exports.

For delivery, it configures SMTP accounts, distinguishes work and personal mailboxes when needed, shows recipients and a summary before sending, and preserves a draft if sending fails.

Boundaries

It fits formatted operational reports, project updates, and client summaries. It is not intended for deep data analysis, Feishu/DingTalk push, or recalling sent emails. Company templates, recipient lists, and raw data tables improve consistency.

Use Cases

  • At end of day, turn a free-form update into a 300-500 word daily report, export it as Word, and email the direct manager.
  • Each week, parse multiple Excel work logs into one weekly report, highlight key metrics and blockers, then send it to the team.
  • Extract project progress from Word or PDF files, generate a monthly report, and send it to a client using a personal mailbox.
  • Set up 163 or QQ SMTP first, define senders, recipients, and templates, then ask it to backfill last week’s weekly report.

Best For

  • Engineers who need to turn daily dev tasks, bug fixes, and next-day plans into an emailed daily report.
  • Team leads who aggregate multiple Excel work logs into a weekly report and send different versions to managers and teammates.
  • Freelancers who need to package project progress into monthly client updates and send them from a personal mailbox.
  • HR or admin staff who produce departmental weekly and monthly reports covering recruitment, attendance, and expense data.
