About this skill

Problem Solved

In financial statement audits, much of the work is not reaching a final opinion, but connecting dispersed data, standards, working-paper formats, and reconciliation steps. This skill addresses procedural tasks such as moving from trial balances, bank statements, and input/output VAT details to consistency checks, sampling, aging, depreciation, and abnormal-transaction review, while producing reviewable drafts in a domestic audit format.

How It Works

The skill uses intent routing: it first identifies the user's need, then loads the relevant guidance from references/, such as risk-assessment.md, revenue-audit.md, and tax-compliance.md. When financial data is provided, it can call scripts/ tools for calculations or checks, such as materiality_calculator.py, bank_reconciliation.py, and abnormal_transaction_scanner.py. Output follows Chinese audit conventions: list assumptions and evidence, specify amounts with units and periods, tag recommendations by priority, and include a disclaimer.

Boundaries

The skill generates working-paper drafts, calculation results, and templates only. It does not replace licensed CPAs, tax advisors, or lawyers, and it does not provide formal audit opinions, tax planning advice, or externally issued reports. If the data is incomplete, users should supplement the materials and review the results before use.

Use Cases

  • Auditors draft bank reconciliations and flag items.
  • Assistants draft revenue cutoff and gross/net notes.
  • Tax staff compare VAT input/output and list diffs.
  • Leaders draft risk notes and importance thresholds.

Best For

  • CPAs drafting China audit papers for revenue, cash, tax.
  • Assistants compiling trial balances, bank, VAT data.
  • Tax reviewers comparing VAT input/output and drafts.
  • Internal audit staff preparing risk and sampling notes.
