About this skill

What It Solves

A lot of workplace email friction comes from wording: too casual for a manager, too stiff for a client, too blunt for a reminder, or awkward when mixing Chinese and English. Email Polisher focuses on drafting and polishing email body text, with the goal of making intent clearer, tone more appropriate, and wording more professional while preserving the original meaning.

How It Works

  • Input: original email, writing request, recipient relationship, and intended purpose.
  • Analysis: checks whether the tone is appropriate, the wording is clear, the structure is sound, and flags grammar or phrasing issues.
  • Output: returns a polished version, key changes, and optionally multiple versions such as formal, friendly, urgent, or apologetic.
  • Boundaries: it handles email content only; it does not read attachments, send email, or manage mailbox configuration.

On first use, provide the recipient and purpose, such as “remind a vendor about delivery, politely but firmly.” This helps the skill choose between a reminder tone and a request tone, avoiding accidental escalation. For sensitive cases, including complaints, terminations, or legal letters, still review wording carefully and seek human or legal review when needed.

Use Cases

  • Drafting a vendor delivery reminder that is firm but polite, with formal and friendly versions.
  • Turning a Chinese request into an English client email while checking grammar, salutation, and formality.
  • Rewriting a stiff internal notice into a clear, acceptable message for teammates.
  • Drafting a complaint or apology email with multiple tone versions and key changes highlighted.

Best For

  • Product managers drafting emails to managers or clients who need professional, clear wording.
  • Operations staff coordinating cross-team work who need firm notices and requests to sound non-blunt.
  • Sales staff dealing with overseas clients or vendors who need bilingual email tone and politeness checks.
  • Customer support agents preparing complaint or apology emails who want multiple wording options.
