Without a structured planning checklist, problems such as socket placement, storage capacity, waterproofing, change orders, and style fatigue often only appear after move-in.

How it works

The skill turns renovation into a practical planning framework built around six dimensions and four levels:

• Residents: identify household size, age group, and habits before choosing spatial priorities, so the layout reflects real life rather than visual trends.
• Function: plan entry flow, housework flow, storage systems, and essential functions, with practical needs placed before aesthetics.
• Budget: split costs into hard works, main materials, soft furnishings, and hidden costs to reduce unplanned change orders and rework.
• Style: consider color, materials, and lighting to create a scheme that remains comfortable over time.
• Safety and durability: check plumbing/electrical works, waterproofing, structural safety, material environmental standards, and hardware durability, which are the hardest items to fix later.
• Timeline: align spending depth with 3-5 years, around 10 years, or long-term occupancy.

Use it as a renovation planning document: first set residents and budget, then review the function list, and finally work through construction, inspection, and handover checks.
