About this skill

Problem

MBTI is often reduced to a short quiz, which can flatten dimension preferences and hide strength differences or cognitive function stacks. A complete self-assessment needs a larger item set, stable scoring rules, and a report that puts four dimensions, eight preferences, and interpretation in one view.

How It Works

  • Two interaction modes: use mbti_quiz.html for a paged self-test with 10 questions per page, back navigation, progress tracking, and state memory; or let an Agent guide the conversation.
  • 93-question MBTI-M scale: supports calculating dimension scores, eight preferences, and cognitive function stack.
  • Local report: scoring and report generation run locally, producing a standalone HTML file with bar charts, a radar chart, and detailed interpretation.
  • Personalized analysis: the Agent uses the user's actual response data instead of only explaining the type label.
  • Scoring sanity check: the source notes that all-A maps to ISFJ and all-B maps to ESTJ, which can be used to verify the scoring path.

Boundaries

This skill is for education, learning, and personal exploration, not clinical diagnosis. Conversation mode requires the scripts/ directory and a Node.js environment; mbti_quiz.html can be opened directly in a browser.

Use Cases

  • A course TA wants students to complete the 93-question MBTI quiz and view the HTML report immediately.
  • A team lead wants to use dimension bars and an eight-preferring radar chart to explain preference differences.
  • A personal user wants to open mbti_quiz.html and complete the full assessment without extra setup.
  • A study group wants an Agent to guide the conversation and generate a personalized interpretation.

Best For

  • Psychology or general-education TAs who need a full MBTI item set and instant visual results for students.
  • Team or class organizers who need dimension bars and an eight-preferring radar chart to explain preferences.
  • Individual learners who want to complete the 93-question assessment and open a standalone HTML report.
  • Agent developers who need to integrate guided dialogue with local scoring and report generation.
