About this skill

Use Case

Use this when you need a quick read on revenue and net profit: current TTM levels, year-over-year changes, annual and quarterly trends, and where the company sits within its industry. It is aimed at business-ops analysis rather than a full financial statement review.

How It Works

Prefer the unified runner wm.sh run, pass business parameters as JSON, and set the target with --symbol. The script issues the equivalent HTTP call, so avoid manually building authenticated requests. Useful fields include:
- tr_current / np_current: TTM revenue and net profit
- tr_yoy / np_yoy: year-over-year changes
- annual: annual revenue, profit, and growth series
- quarterly: recent single-quarter series
- ind_name, *_ind_avg, *_ind_pct, *_ind_share: industry name, average, percentile, and share
- mv / close / percent: market cap and quote helpers

Boundaries and Caveats

This does not directly return gross margin or net margin. If margin analysis is needed, state that this card focuses on scale, growth, and industry position, or use the restricted wm-xs flow for margin fields. For full multi-period income statements or balance sheets, use wm-statements; for cash-flow quality, use wm-cashflow-quality; for a compact company overview, use wm-company-card. Also, *_ind_pct is an industry percentile, not the same as *_ind_share, so do not describe it as a percentage share.

Use Cases

  • When an analyst must answer a client about multi-year revenue and net profit growth, pull annual series and YoY changes.
  • When operations compares a company with industry average, percentile, and share to position revenue scale, query industry fields.
  • When investment research needs a one-page pre-meeting summary of TTM revenue, net profit, YoY, and market cap, use this skill.
  • When strategy reviews recent single-quarter revenue and profit changes to spot acceleration or slowdown, query the quarterly series.

Best For

  • Investment managers responsible for operating analysis need TTM revenue, net profit, YoY, and industry percentile to support weekly meeting conclusions.
  • Industry analysts need to compare company revenue with industry average, share, and percentile to judge its position in the sector.
  • Strategy researchers tracking growth stocks need annual and single-quarter revenue and profit changes to spot acceleration or slowdown.
  • Business operations leads need to explain revenue and net profit trends in a report without unpacking a full income statement.
