About this skill

Problem

Many decks fail on structure: titles are only topics, slides are filled with cards and icons, data does not support conclusions, and projector output has overflow, clipping, or low contrast. ppt-maker-pro focuses on turning a rough topic, source material, or existing deck into an editable presentation by clarifying story, evidence, and layout rhythm before design.

How It Works

  • Clarify blockers only: asks for topic, audience, slide count, language, style, and output format when missing; if details are sparse, it produces a reasonable first draft and states assumptions.
  • Extract the story: identifies the audience decision, central message, and supporting evidence, then builds a claim spine with conclusion-style titles, proof objects, and short notes.
  • Lock the design system first: size, colors, typography, layout families, chart grammar, footer, and page markers are defined before slides are built.
  • Control layout rhythm: avoids repeated title-plus-card-grid patterns and uses at least four layout families for decks with eight or more slides.
  • Prefer editable objects: uses charts, diagrams, tables, timelines, and images as proof objects rather than decoration.
  • Quality-check before delivery: reviews overlap, clipped text, contrast, alignment, repeated layouts, whether charts prove slide titles, and whether the final file opens with the expected slide count.

Scope and Notes

Best for reports, defenses, business proposals, and solution decks that need clarity and readability. It follows the user's language, defaults to Chinese when the user writes Chinese, preserves requested audience and tone, and states assumptions when input is limited. It is not a substitute for exact brand assets, licensed images, or fixed corporate templates; those still need to be provided. For scenario-specific structures and layout families, it references deck-patterns.md.

Use Cases

  • Before a weekly project meeting, compile scattered notes and metrics into a conclusion-first report deck and check projector readability.
  • Before a thesis defense, convert methods, results, and innovation points into a defense deck with background, problem, method, experiment, and conclusion.
  • While preparing a business proposal, generate an editable PPTX from customer pain, differentiation, and roadmap, and note missing data and assumptions.
  • Rework an existing deck into a clearer rhythm by removing repeated title-plus-card layouts and fixing text overlap.

Best For

  • Product manager who needs conclusion-style slides and evidence charts for a client proposal
  • Graduate student who needs to turn research methods and results into a defense structure and check projector readability
  • Solution planner who needs an editable PPTX for design or colleague edits, not just images
  • Team lead who needs to restructure old materials into a clear story and avoid repeated layouts
