About this skill
Problem it addresses
CET-6 reading prep often gets stuck at concrete points: the passage is read but the main thread is unclear, underlined words remain context-dependent, question stems look simple but invite wrong options, and distractors cannot be ruled out. This skill is scoped to CET-6 English reading review and turns each explanation into a repeatable workflow: summarize the passage, handle vocabulary, analyze each question, and extract reusable techniques. It requires Chinese explanations and insists on answering why an option is correct and why every other option fails.
How the skill works
When a user provides a passage, questions, options, underlined words, or screenshots, the skill generates a structured review:
- Main idea: two to four sentences covering the topic, the author's view or attitude, and the passage logic.
- Underlined vocabulary: each word or phrase with its context-based Chinese meaning, plus part of speech or common collocations when needed; if the image is unclear, it asks for a clearer image or typed words.
- Item-by-item analysis: for each question, it states the question number, what the stem actually asks, question type, original-text location, correct option, and why each
A/B/C/Ddistractor is wrong. - Review and technique summary: core passage logic, common traps, a repeatable solving sequence, and techniques that can be reused for similar questions.
Distractor analysis is mapped to common traps such as concept swapping, overgeneralization, fabrication, reversed causality, misattribution, over-inference, and contradicting the source text, rather than merely listing the answer.
Limits and notes
It fits CET-6 or college English reading explanation, error review, and exam-strategy refinement. If the image is blurry, options are missing, or the question stem is uncertain, it first states what is missing instead of guessing. If the user supplies their own template, the user's template takes priority; if the user requests output other than Chinese, it can switch accordingly.
Use Cases
- A student uploads a CET-6 reading passage and option screenshots, asking for question-type classification, original-text location, and distractor analysis.
- A learner sends a passage and underlined-word image, requesting a main-idea summary and context meanings for each word.
- A teacher needs a class-ready review of one passage, including main logic, common traps, and reusable solving steps.
- After finishing a reading set, a student asks for a Chinese review with core logic, traps, steps, and techniques.
Best For
- University students preparing for CET-6 who need a passage explained layer by layer from main idea to options.
- Self-studying CET-6 candidates who want error analysis with evidence location and distractor elimination, not just answers.
- Tutors or teaching assistants who need a fixed template for lecture notes and review materials.
- English learners who need underlined words and questions from screenshots converted into Chinese explanations.
