Applying for roles usually fails at clarity, not experience. Resumes often mix self-praise, duplicated projects, weak verbs, and unverified metrics. When targeting different roles or JDs, manually reordering content, extracting keywords, and fitting a one-page document is costly. resume-pdf-optimizer structures this workflow and produces a deliverable PDF.

How It Works

• Intake: Reads the raw resume, target role, language, and page count; if a JD, industry, or company type is provided, it prioritizes keyword matching, experience reordering, and skill reinforcement.
• Diagnosis: Checks role fit, quantified outcomes, structure, ATS readability, wording, and credibility.
• Rewriting: Uses STAR, CAR, and XYZ to convert vague duties into actions and results, while deprioritizing unrelated content.
• PDF output: Generates a single-column, low-saturation PDF with selectable text; by default it writes to output/ with an English lowercase-hyphen filename.
• Quality checks: Verifies unconfirmed facts, timeline conflicts, duplicated projects, Chinese font rendering, and file readability.

Boundaries

• Suited for new graduates, experienced candidates, role changers, and managers; supports Chinese, English, and bilingual resumes.
• It preserves factual claims: it does not invent degrees, employers, projects, certificates, papers, patents, or awards; missing metrics are marked for confirmation.
• By default it avoids expanding unnecessary sensitive details; optional masking can cover names, phone numbers, emails, employers, schools, or projects.
• It focuses on resume content and layout, not hiring guarantees, legal advice, immigration guidance, or professional certification.
