About this skill

Problem

Insurance advisors often treat broad labels like 'high-net-worth people' or 'people who want insurance' as positioning, and treat insurance product names or slogans as business products. Cheng Gong PSP Positioning Diagnosis checks whether an insurance consulting business actually holds together: who would pay, whether the Problem is concrete, whether the Solution is deliverable, and whether the Product is a diagnostic, planning, or execution product rather than insurance benefits. It is useful for exposing mismatches among customers, problem, product, and revenue model.

How It Works

  • Input triage: first classify the request as missing information, PSP validation, business-structure diagnosis, positioning elements, or a handoff to another Skill.
  • PSP breakdown: check whether Problem has a scene, consequence, and action cost; whether Solution is visible, deliverable, and bounded; and whether Product is a diagnostic, planning, or execution product.
  • Business-structure diagnosis: review acquisition funnel, revenue per client, marginal cost, fixed cost, and delivery hours to test whether the model is coherent; if the user provides complete numbers, scripts/business_model_calculator.py can calculate them without filling in industry averages.
  • Output guidance: return whether the positioning holds, the key mismatch, one-week validation actions, and the next handoff to persona, content, sales, service, or review.

Boundaries

This Skill does not promise income, close rate, claims, underwriting, medical, or legal outcomes. It also does not produce full persona plans, content schedules, sales scripts, or turn an initial business diagnosis into financial forecasts, tax advice, or investment advice. If inputs are incomplete, it lists gaps and asks minimal follow-up questions instead of forcing a final verdict.

Use Cases

  • Before publishing a one-sentence positioning, check whether customer, problem, product, and delivery boundaries hold together.
  • Review Problem, Solution, and Product drafts to decide whether they are real, visible, and deliverable.
  • With revenue targets, acquisition method, and delivery hours available, run a business-structure check to spot cost mismatches.
  • When positioning is borderline, produce a positioning-elements table covering scenes, topics, formats, and tone.

Best For

  • Insurance advisors who want to replace broad audience labels with pay-ready customers and action triggers.
  • Consulting practice leads who need to validate diagnostic, planning, and execution products without confusing them with insurance products.
  • Insurance team owners who need a positioning verdict and clear handoff to content, sales, or service work.
  • Independent insurance practitioners with PSP drafts who want a verdict, key mismatches, and minimal follow-up questions.
