About this skill

Problem

Writing a research report often stalls on scattered information, uneven source credibility, and time-consuming formatting: you need to gather material across platforms and languages, then turn fragments into a structured deliverable rather than just a list of links.

How It Works

The skill runs a three-stage pipeline:
- Search: split the topic into 3-5 dimensions, use WebSearch for parallel multi-source retrieval across Chinese sites, English sites, academic sources, and industry materials, then use WebFetch to pull 5-10 high-value pages.
- Synthesize: generate 100-200-word summaries for each source, group and deduplicate them by theme, cross-check key data with credibility notes, and extract industry keywords plus term definitions.
- Output: use python-docx to generate an A4 Word report with a cover page, header/footer, heading levels, body line spacing, and table styling, ready for direct editing or sharing.

Boundaries

It fits market research, industry analysis, and competitor comparison tasks that require multi-source synthesis. Prioritize authoritative sources, mark unverified items as “needs verification”, note that Word generation depends on python-docx, and expect the output to be saved in the outputs directory.

Use Cases

  • Compile market size, competitor, and user feedback for an AI coding assistant into a deliverable Word report.
  • For competitor analysis, extract body content from Zhihu, 36Kr, and Medium, summarize differences, and produce a report.
  • Synthesize scattered Chinese sources, English blogs, and arXiv summaries into a categorized, source-cited industry analysis document.
  • Break a market analysis into 3-5 research dimensions, cross-validate key data, and export an A4-style Word report.

Best For

  • Market research analysts who need to turn multi-platform industry sources into a structured, source-cited research report
  • Product managers who need to generate competitor analysis reports around features, pricing, and user feedback
  • Consultants who need to summarize market trends, key data, and term definitions into a deliverable Word document
  • Technology leads who need to research AI tools or architecture differences and output a source-cited research document
