About this skill

Problem

When drawing data-center network topology, the hard part is not making a picture, but turning device lists, architecture notes, and business boundaries into editable graphics: missing nodes, incorrect links, unclear layers, and repeated edits between engineering and presentation versions. This skill converts structured input into Visio and PPT deliverables, reducing manual diagram cleanup.

How It Works

  • Input recognition: accepts device lists, .docx architecture descriptions, and network-connection notes; if details are missing, it asks for follow-up instead of guessing.
  • Topology selection: chooses a physical topology, logical topology, security topology, disaster-recovery topology, or composite architecture based on the primary requirement, then outputs *.vsdx and *.pptx.
  • Visio engineering view: draws layered architecture using Huawei/H3C Master icons from VSS stencils, with links that follow moved nodes; functional zones use colored bounding boxes, such as egress security, core switching, and compute pools.
  • PPT presentation view: reduces noisy parameters for full-screen review and mixed text-graphics layout, using EMF vector icons or enterprise network icon sets.
  • Validation and delivery: checks device completeness, link connectivity, and layer logic before producing editable files.

Scope

Best suited for data centers, cloud resource pools, and MLPS Level 3 topology when a device list, model, quantity, or architecture document is available. It is not intended to emit only PNG/JPG images. Icon assets focus on Huawei and H3C, so other brands may need substitution. Output files can usually be found in the current conversation history.

Use Cases

  • Turn device models, quantities, and connection notes into an editable Visio data-center topology.
  • Extract architecture requirements from a .docx network design and generate a meeting-ready security topology in PPT.
  • Before an MLPS Level 3 review, draw egress security, core switching, and compute pools as a presentation topology.
  • During cloud resource pool architecture discussions, map servers, storage, and switches into a seven-layer logical topology.

Best For

  • Network engineers who need to turn device inventories into editable Visio engineering diagrams
  • Security architects preparing MLPS Level 3 plans with clear security zones and audit paths
  • Pre-sales architects presenting cloud resource pool architecture and needing quick PPT topology slides
  • Operations owners maintaining Huawei or H3C assets who need branded icons and editable diagrams
