About this skill

Problem

B2B export or cross-border e-commerce selection is not just picking trending SKUs. The hard part is comparing market size, price bands, platform sales, social heat, competition, and margin in one decision-ready view. This skill turns product research into a structured Excel (.xlsx) report with traceable sources instead of unstructured notes.

How it works

The workflow starts with WebSearch for industry data: market size, CAGR, regional split, B2B/B2C price bands, platform monthly sales, ratings, reviews, and related drivers. It then collects competitor fields such as price range, estimated monthly sales, seller count, and listing age. The rules classify candidates as:
- Blue-ocean items: technical, certification, functional niche, and low-competition signals.
- Trending products: social-media momentum plus sales validation.
- Margin products: low cost, high margin, MOQ, lead time, and repeat-purchase potential.
The output has six sheets: industry overview, blue-ocean items, trending potential, margin products, competition analysis, and data sources. Each item should show collection date, estimated fields, and source references. For multi-category requests, it creates separate reports and then adds a cross-category priority summary.

Boundaries

It is useful for selection research that needs auditable data, but external inputs can still be incomplete or delayed. Missing values should be marked as pending validation, N/A, or estimated, and forecasts should not be treated as final business decisions.

Use Cases

  • An export lead preparing a pet-supply category needs market size, price bands, and key players before deciding entry.
  • A cross-border operator screening low-competition accessories compares certification barriers, MOQ, and supplier lead time.
  • A category manager preparing a review splits candidate products into blue-ocean, trending, and margin items.
  • A buyer evaluating suppliers compiles competitor monthly sales, ratings, price ranges, and data sources into a table.

Best For

  • B2B export lead: needs market size, competition structure, and entry priority before launching a new category.
  • Cross-border e-commerce operator: needs to split candidates into blue-ocean, trending, and margin products.
  • Procurement manager: needs competitor price, sales, ratings, MOQ, and lead-time evidence before supplier review.
  • Category analyst: needs industry data, competitor data, and sources consolidated into a traceable Excel file.
