About this skill

The Problem: Why Diagnose Your Official Account?

Manually reviewing an Official Account's performance is inefficient and difficult to systematize. Operators often struggle with questions like: Are our topics focused? Is the publishing cadence stable? Is the account's positioning clear and consistent? How does our content actually perform across key metrics? Analysis based on subjective judgment often lacks clear direction for improvement.

The Official Account Diagnostic skill provides a data-driven, structured analysis of a specified account's recent content. Its goal is to help operators quickly identify strengths and areas for optimization through an automated process.

How the Skill Works

The core of this skill is remote, automated analysis. You only need to provide the account name. The skill uses the scripts/wx_analyze.py script to communicate with a backend service, which handles data fetching, parsing, scoring, and report generation. No manual upload of backend data tables is required.

Key Workflow:

  1. Account Identification: Search by account name, then select the correct account from a presented candidate list. Once confirmed, the backend service automatically fetches recent articles (default 10) to assemble full-layer metrics (e.g., reads, likes) and deep-layer analysis corpus.
  2. Multi-Layer Analysis:
    • Full-Layer: Analyzes macro metrics like topic distribution, publishing frequency, and read counts based on automatically retrieved public data.
    • Deep-Layer: The backend service scores articles across 7 dimensions, evaluating micro-level aspects such as title effectiveness, structure, and topic quality.
  3. Interactive Insights: The skill guides you through confirming topic groupings before outputting a fixed-format Insight Report with seven sections: overview, topic distribution, positioning consistency, health indicators (e.g., Topic Concentration: 62% 🟡), weak dimensions with case studies, grade distribution, and strategic suggestions.
  4. Optional Enhancement: If you have export tables (.xlsx/.csv) from the Official Account backend, you can upload them for enhanced full-layer analysis. This provides precise read counts and private metrics like follower growth and traffic sources not available via public APIs.

Applicability & Key Points

  • Data Source: By default, full-layer data is entirely auto-fetched; no file upload is a prerequisite. Backend tables are an optional enhancement for greater precision.
  • Scope: This skill is designed to diagnose your own account's content, not for competitor analysis or batch article scoring. All conclusions are based solely on your account's historical data.
  • Report Generation: After receiving insights, you can opt to generate a self-contained HTML report. Rendered server-side, it includes visualizations like topic distribution charts and a production-performance quadrant map, and works offline.
  • Authentication: Initial use requires configuring a LY_API_KEY. The skill will guide you through obtaining and setting the key from the specified platform.

Use Cases

  • Before a weekly or monthly review meeting, needing to systematically analyze the operational performance, topic distribution, and content health of the last 10 articles on your Official Account to generate a structured report for team discussion.
  • When the team is divided on the future topic direction for the account, using the skill to automatically categorize historical articles and, based on deep-layer scoring data, objectively assess which topics are content pillars and which need optimization.
  • As a solo operator, wanting to quickly obtain a 'health check report' for your Official Account, identifying weak dimensions (e.g., title appeal, topic concentration) and receiving specific, actionable strategy suggestions.
  • When taking over a new account or managing multiple accounts, needing to rapidly assess if the positioning is clear and consistent, whether content suffers from 'pseudo-pillars' (frequent but underperforming), and to inform resource allocation decisions.

Best For

  • Individual or Team Official Account Operators: Responsible for daily account management, needing regular reviews, diagnostics of the current state, and clear optimization directions.
  • Heads of Enterprise New Media or Content Teams: Needing to evaluate the performance of accounts under their purview, report to stakeholders based on data, and formulate the next content strategy.
  • Members of Marketing, Brand, or Product Departments: Needing to quantitatively assess the content influence and positioning consistency of the official account to support brand or product messaging effectiveness.
  • Content Creators or Self-Media Individuals: Seeking to move beyond subjective feelings and examine content quality and account health through objective data and multi-dimensional scoring.
