Problem

When a team needs to judge recent Douyin trends, validate a content angle, or collect marketing inspiration, manually scrolling hot lists and search results can miss samples and make conclusions hard to trace. This skill turns hot searches and keyword results into structured output, helping content operators, brand researchers, and creators see current ranking signals first, then extract related titles, authors, links or content IDs for review.

How It Works

The skill is read-only query focused. The main inputs are a platform hot list or a keyword/topic. Use the hot-search command for current rankings without required parameters. For a specific topic, use douyin search with --keyword, and optionally add --sort-type, --publish-time-range, --duration-range, and --content-type. Sorting supports general, time_descending, and like_count_descending; publish-time filters include day, week, and half_year; duration and content-type filters help narrow requests such as short videos published in the last week with high engagement.

Results are returned as JSON and usually include ranking position, heat signals, related titles, authors or accounts, and links or content IDs. If the goal is to inspect samples first, request one page; expand with --pages or --max-items when more results are needed. Pagination tokens are opaque. When continuing the same search chain, pass the returned next_page_token back exactly, without truncating, rewriting, or regenerating it. In output, separate visible evidence from judgment: list hot search and search samples first, then mark relevance, follow-up angles, and next validation steps.

Boundaries

This is a read-only capability. It does not log in, post, like, comment, or modify account state. Runtime relies on the API key in environment variables. If the error is insufficient_balance or credits are insufficient, follow the provided recharge information instead of retrying repeatedly. If there are no results, relax the keyword or reduce filters; if there are too many, add audience, scenario, brand, time range, or account names. Search results do not have a stable complete boundary, so an empty page alone should not be treated as the end of data.
