About this skill

Problem

A common issue in presentations is that the topic exists, but page order, point breakdown, and chart selection remain unclear. The result is crowded slides and weak narrative flow. PPT Outline Generator targets this stage: before opening slide software, it builds a workable slide deck skeleton. It produces an actionable outline based on topic, audience, and duration instead of generating a finished file.

How It Works

The skill follows requirements → structure → content → revision:
- Requirements: confirm the topic, purpose, audience (leaders, customers, colleagues, or students), and presentation duration.
- Structure: define the logic, sections, page count, and opening/closing, aiming for roughly 1-2 minutes per page.
- Content: add key points, speaking notes, and data or chart recommendations per page, such as line charts for trends, bar charts for comparisons, and pie charts for proportions.
- Revision: deliver the full outline and adjust scope or detail based on feedback.

Boundaries

It outputs a text outline and design suggestions only. It does not create .pptx files, provide templates, or produce animations and visual design. Domain-specific content must be supplied by the user, and sensitive business data should be anonymized. It is best used to establish the framework before layout and production in slide software.

Use Cases

  • Before a quarterly business report, generate an 8-12 page outline for a 10-minute topic.
  • For a customer proposal, structure value proposition, pain points, solution, and next steps.
  • Before internal training, turn scattered knowledge points into slide topics and speaking order.
  • Before a product demo, define page-level key messages, chart types, and visual notes.

Best For

  • Business owners who need to present quarterly operational results clearly.
  • Sales or solution consultants preparing customer-facing proposal decks.
  • Training leads who need to organize scattered materials into slide topics.
  • Product managers preparing product demos and first needing slide logic.
