About this skill

Problem

In hiring, the friction is usually inconsistent judgment rather than a lack of candidates: broad JD descriptions, resume screening by impression, ad hoc interview questions, subjective evaluations, and salary conversations without market anchors. This skill turns those tasks into reusable templates so HR, interviewers, and hiring managers can work from the same structure.

How It Works

It covers six capabilities: JD drafting, resume screening, interview question banks, interview evaluation, salary negotiation, and structured interview SOP. Key workflows include:
- Resume screening: split hard requirements and soft traits, apply veto checks first, then score on a weighted 1-5 scale and output recommend, hold, or reject with reasons.
- Structured interviewing: use STAR follow-ups to verify behavior, add technical and reverse questions, and score on anchored descriptors to reduce halo effects.
- Evaluation and compensation: use role relevance and public market ranges to produce scorecards, hiring recommendations, negotiation language, and risk notes.

Boundaries

It is useful for standardizing hiring, generating templates, and preparing interviews, but it does not replace credential review, connect to external accounts or keys, or process individual salary privacy. Final hiring decisions remain with the hiring team and HR.

Use Cases

  • Recruiters triaging backend resumes against job requirements to produce recommend, hold, and reject reasons.
  • Interviewers preparing product-role questions with behavioral, technical, and situational prompts plus scoring anchors.
  • HRBPs structuring salary discussions by combining level, budget, and market ranges into ranges, scripts, and risks.
  • Team leads standardizing frontend interview flow into a five-step SOP and interview note template.

Best For

  • Recruiters handling campus or experienced-hire screening who need to rank resumes by hard and soft criteria.
  • Business interviewers preparing questions, follow-ups, and scoring anchors before interviews.
  • HRBPs standardizing interview rubrics, note templates, and hiring recommendations across teams.
  • Startup founders who need JD drafts, evaluation input, and salary negotiation support.
