When running multiple workspaces in DeepSeek Harness, one of the most constant frictions is preset selection — every new session demands a manual confirmation of which Agent preset to use, breaking flow and inviting mistakes. dsh-workspace-presets turns that step into a one-time binding with a persistent effect: attach a preset to a workspace in the settings panel, and every new blank session spawned in that workspace boots with it automatically, with zero extra work.

The core experience lives on a new Workspace Presets page inside the settings panel: one row per workspace, a picker listing all system and user presets, and broken presets clearly flagged. The binding applies only to blank sessions that have not yet started (including the reusable blank session the sidebar retains per workspace); already-running sessions, sub-agent sessions, and archived sessions are never touched. A manual hero-screen chip choice always overrides the binding. No extra model calls are made and no latency is added, because the preset value is written into the session projection at creation time.

Architecturally the plugin is deliberately non-invasive: it mounts its UI exclusively through two additive slots (settings.section and shell.overlay) and never patches or replaces any shipped DSH component. Bindings persist in the settings document that DSH maintains; the plugin creates and deletes no files of its own. In multi-tab scenarios, selections are idempotent and Host-serialized per session, and settings writes are revision-guarded, keeping concurrent operations safe.
