Every new session in DeepSeek Harness starts with a small but recurring decision: standard mode, PTC (code) mode, minimal mode, or Cordis mode? Picking the wrong preset means the entire conversation inherits the wrong tone and toolset, and you must start over. dsh-agent-preset-router removes that pause.

How it works: select the Auto preset when creating a blank session, type your first request, and hit send. Before the message leaves your composer, a deepseek-v4-flash classifier scores it against the four built-in presets and returns a recommended mode, a one-line reason, and a confidence score. The session is switched to that preset and the prompt is dispatched immediately. A gradient-glow info bar appears above the input for three seconds, then fades away. No confirmation dialog, no waiting. If the classifier fails, the session falls back to the standard preset and tells you plainly rather than silently mis-routing.

It is built for anyone who jumps between work modes often and would rather type the task than the menu. Zero configuration is required: the classifier reuses the provider and model of the session itself out of the box, and all optional knobs (provider, model, temperature, fallback preset) can be tuned later through the profile patch layer.
