Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) supports plugin-based extension. dsh-lumina-tarot (Lumina Tarot) is a playful dress-up-style plugin maintained by shetengteng. It solves the problem of the model potentially fabricating tarot cards during conversation, integrating tarot reading capabilities into the chat interface through a fixed deck and spreads, and providing a controllable interpretation flow.

Installation

Installing the plugin under different DSH profiles requires different methods.

Web Environment Installation

Install using the command line:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-lumina-tarot

After installation or update, you must restart Harness for the changes to take effect.

Desktop App Installation

The desktop app must be installed through the UI. Command-line operations are rejected (dsh plugin --profile desktop returns an error). Follow these steps:

  1. Open the app’s Plugins → Add Plugin.
  2. Enter the package name dsh-lumina-tarot, and click Install.
  3. Restart the app.

Features

Basic Interaction

A draggable card back appears in the bottom-right corner of the chat interface. Use it as follows:

  • Drag: Move the card back. After you release it, the position is remembered and remains the same the next time you open it.
  • Single-click: Draw once using the current spread. A shuffle animation is shown first, and the cards are flipped after the shuffle completes.
  • Right-click: Opens a fan-shaped menu with options such as changing the spread, viewing results, and viewing history.

Deck and Content

  • Deck: Includes the full 78 cards (22 Major Arcana + 56 Minor Arcana).
  • Card face information: Includes upright and reversed meanings and keywords, and supports Chinese and English.
  • Spreads: Provides four spreads: single-card guidance, three-card timeline, cross, and simplified Celtic Cross.

Settings Options

In the DeepSeek Harness settings, find the Lumina Tarot panel to configure the following:

  • Theme and UI language.
  • Card face art style (Modern Minimalism / Rider-Waite / Watercolor).
  • Card back style and animation intensity.
  • Default spread and reversed card probability.
  • Export / Clear history.
  • Toggle “Show floating card back”.

Typical Usage

Natural Language Interaction

You can simply enter natural language commands directly in the conversation. The model will call the tool to draw cards and will not fabricate card faces:

  • “Help me with a tarot reading”
  • “Draw a card”
  • “Today’s card”
  • “How is my fortune today?”
  • “What does The Fool mean?”

Command Line Interaction

You can also use slash commands:

  • /lumina draw

Notes

  • Headless support: The plugin supports Headless environments, and profiles without a UI can also use it.
  • Data retention: Uninstalling the plugin does not clear preferences or history.
  • Image source license: For card face image sources, Rider-Waite cards are public domain, and the watercolor style is CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 (personal non-commercial use only).
  • Product behavior: The plugin has no standalone route and is fully integrated into the chat interface.
