In DeepSeek Harness (DSH), when sessions and agents are running in the background, tracking their status (in progress, completed, awaiting approval) often requires frequently switching tabs or checking logs. The dsh-ui-progress plugin provides a centralized view for managing these statuses.

This is a plugin maintained by sdynasty, offering DSH a cross-workspace session progress dashboard. It extracts status management from scattered session views and, through a sidebar entry and dashboard view, provides an intuitive way to monitor the session lifecycle.

Core Features

  • Sidebar entry: Adds a “Progress Dashboard” entry to the sidebar.
  • Three-color badges: Displays badges in different colors based on session status (blue: only running; green: completed but unread; orange: has pending sessions).
  • Column view: After clicking the entry, the dashboard is divided into “All”, “In Progress”, and “Completed” columns.
  • Workspace filtering: Provides a workspace filter for filtering sessions across all columns.
  • Real-time status: Displays workspace labels, the number of running sub-agents, and real-time runtime.
  • Quick jump: Clicking a card opens the corresponding session directly.

Installation and Activation

Use the command-line tool to install the plugin:

dsh plugin --profile desktop add dsh-ui-progress

After installation, refresh the Web interface, and the “Progress Dashboard” icon will appear in the sidebar.

Typical Usage

  1. Open the sidebar, observe the badge color of the “Progress Dashboard” icon, and determine which task statuses are currently present.
  2. Click the icon to open the dashboard, and check the “In Progress” column for sessions that are running or awaiting approval.
  3. In the “Completed” column, check sessions that have finished but not yet been viewed (green marker), or review historical completion records.
  4. Use the workspace filter to locate sessions in a specific workspace.

Notes

  • Current limitation: Cards do not yet include TODO or goal progress bars. This data is session-scoped and requires the host to add a SessionProjectionMap member before it can be supported.
  • History records: Completion history is stored in local localStorage and is not synced across devices with the account. Sessions completed while the client was closed are recorded as “unread” on next startup.
  • Pending status: Pending types other than approval / question / plan-review are uniformly displayed as “Pending”.
  • External dependencies: The plugin relies only on host baseline modules (react, react/jsx-runtime, @deepseek-ai/dsh-client-ui-primitives) to run.

This plugin enhances DSH session management by providing a centralized status overview, suitable for developers who need to efficiently monitor multiple parallel tasks. For more details, see: GitHub repository.
