Introduction

When managing conversations using the sidebar in the Web UI of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), archiving a conversation currently requires clicking the menu icon at the end of the row (⋯) and then selecting “Archive Conversation”—that is, two clicks to complete the action. This plugin adds an archive icon button to each conversation row in the sidebar, reducing archiving to a single click.

Plugin Purpose

This is a DSH Web UI plugin maintained by MoseeVision. It does not alter DSH’s core logic; instead, it adds a hover-visible button at the end of conversation rows and directly calls the native archiveSession API, making the archive workflow more direct.

Core Features

  1. One-click Archiving: Each conversation row displays an archive button on the right, sharing the same hover-to-display interaction logic as the native menu button (⋯).
  2. Native Invocation: After clicking the button, it directly executes ctx.uiWorkspace.archiveSession(sessionId), consistent with the behavior of the native menu item. Archiving the current conversation properly triggers the main area to clear and switch to the new-conversation state.
  3. Localization and Theme: The button label is provided by the Client’s locale service (supports Chinese and English), and the icon color follows the light/dark theme.
  4. Precise Scope: It only applies to conversation rows; workspace rows, search result rows, and the “New Conversation” placeholder row remain unchanged.
  5. Automatic Cleanup: When the plugin is uninstalled, the injected buttons, listeners, and stylesheets are automatically destroyed by the Client runtime.

Installation and Activation

Before installation, ensure that the current Profile is Web (dsh web). This plugin is not published to npm and must be installed from the GitHub source.

After installation, refresh the page to load the new module. The same procedure applies if you use the GUI plugin page or dshmarket.

Typical Usage

  1. Find the target conversation row in the sidebar.
  2. Hover the mouse over the row; an archive icon appears to the left of the end-of-row menu (⋯).
  3. Click the icon; the conversation row immediately disappears from the sidebar.

Restoring a conversation follows the same native workflow: go to Settings -> Archived Conversations -> Unarchive. This plugin does not provide an additional entry point for restoration.

Compatibility and Notes

This plugin is written for @deepseek-ai/dsh 0.1.6-alpha.2 (Web profile). It does not hold Host services, settings, or storage; the Host side is only an empty implementation.
