Introduction¶
In routine DeepSeek Harness (DSH) development, file search often relies on the workspace index or the file pane. This approach suits project management, but it cannot meet the immediate search needs of “quick, machine-wide, non-indexing search.” dsh-local-file-search aims to fill this gap by providing a lightweight way to search local files.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a client-side plugin maintained by Ln1m. It adds an entry to the @ mention list in the dialogue box, allowing users to perform a one-time, machine-wide search across the local file system. Search results are not added to the file pane or the workspace index; they are returned only as a temporary query.
Core Features¶
- Add an entry: Adds a “Search local files” entry to the @ list in the dialogue box.
- Machine-wide search: Performs a one-time scan of the local file system.
- Non-indexed: Search results are not added to the file pane or the workspace index.
Installation and Enabling¶
No official installation command is currently available. The plugin is in an archived state.
Use Cases and Notes¶
Archived status:
The contents of this repository have been merged into the dsh-local-file-search directory in dsh-tool-suite. This repository is retained as an archive, is no longer updated, and only preserves historical records.
Permissions and execution:
The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Review the source code and license before installing.
Conclusion¶
This plugin provides a local file search capability that bypasses the indexing mechanism. It is suitable for scenarios that require quick search results and do not need to retain an index. For historical implementation details, see the directory page or the GitHub repository.
