Preface¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) relies on plugins to extend its functionality. During long-term usage, a large number of historical sessions can occupy significant storage space. Manually organizing these files is time-consuming and error-prone. The dsh-archive-button plugin provides an automated archiving solution that allows session cleanup with just two clicks.
Plugin Positioning¶
This is an icon component in the official DSH sidebar, used to clean up expired session folders. The plugin is maintained by developer Ln1m, and the project has been archived in the dsh-chrome-suite repository in a read-only state for historical reference.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following features:
-
Sidebar Entry
The icon is located in thesidebar.footer.actionslot, next to the settings button. Clicking the icon opens an upward-expanding panel. -
Pre-scan Mechanism
The first click performs a “dry run”. The plugin scans all sessions that have been idle for more than 3 days and displays the results in the panel, without performing any deletion at this stage. -
Packaging and Cleanup
The second click packages sessions that meet the condition (idle for more than 3 days) into a zip file. During packaging, the files are byte-validated to ensure integrity. After completion, the plugin deletes the original folders. -
Runtime Environment
The plugin runs under the permissions of the current DSH process and does not involve model-side triggering. Whendsh-vk-suiteis present, it automatically uses the corresponding vk layout slot.
Installation and Enablement¶
The plugin is currently integrated into the dsh-archive-button directory of the dsh-chrome-suite repository. The original repository remains read-only and does not provide a standalone installation command. Please enable this feature through the integration method provided by dsh-chrome-suite.
Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶
This plugin is suitable for scenarios where you need to regularly clean up historical sessions and free up storage space.
Notes:
- The plugin has permission to delete original folders. Please check the source code and license (MIT) before installing.
- Since the plugin has been archived, it will no longer receive updates and is retained only as a historical record.
Summary¶
With dsh-archive-button, developers can efficiently manage DSH sessions. The plugin uses a two-click mechanism (preview and execute), ensuring that the cleanup process is both safe and controllable.
