Introduction¶
When developing with DeepSeek Harness (DSH), viewing code change history and specific diffs is a common need. This often requires switching to a terminal to run git commands or relying on external tools. The following introduces lengmoxxl/dsh-git, a plugin designed for the DSH Web GUI.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a read-only Git browser plugin. It adds a Git page to the DSH right sidebar for displaying changes and commit history in the current session workspace.
Installation and Enablement¶
Before installing, ensure your system environment meets the following requirements:
1. Node.js is installed (version 22.19+ or 24+).
2. DSH CLI is installed.
3. The git executable is available in the system PATH.
Run the following command to complete the installation:
dsh plugin --profile web add @lengmoxxl/dsh-git
After installation, start DSH:
dsh --profile web
Core Features¶
- Sidebar Integration: Displays working tree changes and commit history in the right sidebar of the Web GUI.
- Interactive Diff: Click a commit or change to open a side-by-side comparison view in the sidebar.
- Completely Read-Only: The plugin does not modify the file tree or index. It reads the repository through the Harness file system and child processes, without network requests or credential access.
- Multi-View Support: Supports highlighting and provides options such as a two-column layout, wrapping long lines, non-wrapping long lines, and a single-column inline view.
Typical Usage¶
- View Commit History: In the sidebar commit list, click a commit to expand and view the file changes included in that commit.
- Code Comparison: Click
diffin the change list to open a side-by-side code comparison view in the sidebar.
Use Cases and Notes¶
This plugin is suitable for scenarios where you need to quickly review code changes and view session history in the Web interface.
Please note:
* Large repositories or complex diffs may take longer to collect and render.
* The plugin runs with DSH process privileges; ensure you trust the source code.
Conclusion¶
With lengmoxxl/dsh-git, you can directly view Git changes in the DSH Web GUI without switching to a terminal. For more details, see the GitHub repository.
