Introduction¶
The default IM bot delivery method in DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is highly immediate and lacks realism. The dsh-im-humanize plugin enhances message pacing, typing-state simulation, and interaction feedback by simulating human interaction details.
What It Is¶
dsh-im-humanize is a humanization-based fork of @xmanrui/dsh-im (4.21.2), maintained by johnnren. It provides a unified entry point for humanization settings and adds configuration options for immersive role-playing experiences while preserving all upstream features.
Core Features¶
This plugin primarily provides the following capabilities:
* Two-stage send delay and typing state: Simulates the process of reading and typing.
* Streaming replies: Supports character-by-character delivery of reply content.
* Step-by-step messages: Splits long replies into multiple messages.
* Status emoji responses: Sends status emojis such as processing, success, or failure.
* Reply quoting: Includes a quote header when replying to a message.
* Process progress hints: Sends placeholder bubbles such as “Processing” or “Organizing results”.
* Per-bot full override: Allows setting the above parameters individually for each bot.
Installation and Enabling¶
Use the official command line to add the plugin:
dsh plugin --profile web add @johnnren/dsh-im-humanize
Configuration¶
After installation, open the DSH interface:
1. Open “Settings” -> “IM Bots” -> “General Settings”.
2. Configure global settings in the “Humanization Settings” panel.
3. For a specific channel, click the bot card and configure per-bot overrides inside the card.
Notes¶
- Each IM channel supports multiple bots without interfering with one another.
- iMessage is an exception: it connects using the local Messages.app identity.
- Streaming text is still displayed character by character.
- When streaming replies and step-by-step messages are enabled together, each segment is streamed separately.
Conclusion¶
By providing fine-grained parameter control, this plugin brings DSH bots closer to realistic human interaction patterns. The settings are centralized in the interface panels, making them easier to operate. Before enabling complex features, verify the permissions of the current DSH process and the source code license.
