Preface

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is primarily targeted at agent development scenarios. Although DSH’s core functionality is comprehensive, some interaction details and engineering assistance still require multiple jumps within the interface. dsh-composer-plus aims to fill this gap by adding a series of “quality-of-life” enhancements similar to Codex to DSH’s desktop and Web interfaces.

Plugin Overview

dsh-composer-plus is an unofficial community plugin developed by maintainer furkancak1r and licensed under the MIT License. It extends DSH’s capabilities through a single download (npm package dsh-composer-plus) and provides features such as Git change viewing, input history recall, plan-mode shortcuts, one-click conversation continuation, queue drag-and-drop reordering, session deep-link sharing, iPhone remote access, and automatic updates.

Installation

Before installing, make sure DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is already installed.

Desktop Client

  1. Open the DSH application.
  2. Go to Settings → Plugins.
  3. Click Add plugin.
  4. Enter dsh-composer-plus and enable it.

Web / CLI Profile

When installing from the command line, a profile must be specified:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-composer-plus

After installation, restart DSH. Note: the CLI cannot install plugins into the desktop profile; plugins for the desktop profile are managed by the application.

Version Note: DSH’s pnpm skips versions published less than 24 hours ago. If you install immediately after release, specify a specific version number, for example dsh-composer-plus@1.5.0.

Core Features

The plugin mainly provides the following enhancements:

Conversation and Input Management

  • Input History: Press ↑ or ↓ in an empty input box to browse previously sent messages, similar to a terminal.
  • Plan Mode Shortcut: Press Shift + Tab in the input box to add /plan to the beginning of the current draft; press it again to remove it. If the current conversation is already in plan mode, the shortcut exits plan mode.
  • Keep Input Focus: After sending a / command or skill, focus automatically returns to the input box, eliminating the need for manual clicking and making continuous input or keyboard macros easier.
  • One-Click Continue: When a conversation is interrupted, failed, or cut off, a ▶ button appears in the input box. Click it to continue from the interruption point without typing additional content in the input box. In completed states, the regular send button remains visible.

Engineering and Project Assistance

  • Changes Panel: Click the + button in the right sidebar and select Changes. You can view uncommitted, unstaged, staged, or branch-specific changed files, and click a file to view the Git Diff. Additionally, Last Turn displays DSH’s internal review results for the latest conversation turn.
  • Queue Drag-and-Drop Reordering: Items in the message queue have grab handles (⠿) and support drag-and-drop reordering; after focusing a grab handle, use ↑ / ↓ to adjust their order.
  • Project Status and Sorting:
    • Sidebar project rows display status indicators (such as spinner, waiting, or completed), indicating the internal conversation state even when the project is collapsed.
    • Active projects first: Projects that are running or require human intervention are automatically pinned to the top.
    • Order by status: Sort by status, prioritizing completed conversations.
    • Recent projects filter: In the sidebar view options, select “Active in the last 2 hours” to show only projects with recent activity within the last 2 hours.
    • Collapse all projects: One-click collapse all expanded projects.

Context and Sharing

  • Copy Deep Link: Right-click a conversation in the sidebar and select Copy deeplink. Paste the dsh-session:... link into another conversation to attach that conversation as read-only context.
  • Copy Project Path: Right-click a project and select Copy path to get the full path of the project folder.
  • Auto Review Authorization: In the Auto Review prompt, select Allow for this chat to allow the tool to continue running in the current conversation without repeated authorization.

Other Features

  • 11 Additional UI Languages: In addition to the default language, it supports 11 UI languages (such as Türkçe, Español, Français, Deutsch, Japanese, etc.).
  • iPhone Remote Access: With the Tether App, DSH on a local network or Tailnet can be accessed from an iPhone. This feature is disabled by default and must be manually enabled via “Mobile connect”.

Typical Usage

  • Review Code Changes: After completing a code modification, click the right-side + → Changes, then select Uncommitted to view uncommitted files and diffs.
  • Quickly Start a New Plan: Press Shift + Tab in the input box to start planning directly with a /plan prefix.
  • Resume an Interrupted Task: After the conversation ends, a ▶ appears in the input box; click it to continue directly.
  • Organize Conversation Order: In the message queue, drag items to reorder them, or use the sidebar sorting feature to organize the project list.

Notes

  • Unofficial Plugin: This plugin is a community project and not an official DeepSeek component.
  • Network Permissions: The plugin makes network requests only when checking for automatic updates (connecting to GitHub Releases and the npm Registry). It is recommended to manually disable this option when automatic updates are not needed.
  • Mobile Connection Security: The Mobile connect feature is disabled by default. When enabled, it only accepts iPhone connections from a local network or Tailnet.
  • Permission Scope: The plugin runs under DSH’s current process permissions. It is recommended to review the source code and license before installing.
