DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts a plugin-based architecture. During development or use, the session panel typically displays conversation history as a list. The DSH plugin “Fluffy Yard” adds a small yard environment to the session panel, providing visual feedback and a break scene through pets’ daily interactions.
What It Is¶
A DSH plugin maintained by DaXYao. It allows users to keep pets in the session interface, feed them, observe the affection competition mechanics, and collect profile cards and more. The plugin does not depend on any third-party runtime, and its data is stored in the browser’s localStorage.
Core Features¶
1. Unique Generation Logic
Supports approximately 77,000 combinations. Pets have a fixed personality at birth, categorized into enthusiastic, calm, and aloof, which determines their daily actions, affection behavior, and reactions when left out.
2. Interaction and Affection Mechanics
* Panel-Driven Behavior: Resizing the panel drives changes in the pet’s state, from strolling in a comfortable space and peeking when crowded, to squeezing into tight spots, spotlight rotation, and even flattening in extremely small spaces.
* Interactions: Click the food bowl and water bowl to add food; supports interactions such as snuggling, chasing, and ball play.
3. Life Feel and Art
* Two Art Styles: Provides geometric simple-line and soft cute hand-drawn styles, switchable at any time within a save.
* Environment Elements: Includes a furnished yard, day-night cycle, and weather system.
4. Collection Loop
* Profile and Group Photos: Supports exporting profile card PNGs; supports full group photos, with a watermark containing the date and visit count.
* Compendium and Achievements: Built-in compendium and 14 achievements, with support for consecutive visit statistics.
Installation and Activation¶
Prerequisites: dsh version ≥ 0.1.1 is required.
Install:
dsh plugin --profile pets add github:DaXYao/dsh-plugin-fluffy-yard
Configure bundles (important):
After installation, edit the configuration file to enable the Web UI. Edit ~/.dsh/profiles/pets/package.json, add @deepseek-ai/dsh-web-app to the dsh.profile.bundles array, and place it before dsh-plugin-fluffy-yard:
{
"dsh": {
"profile": {
"bundles": [
"@deepseek-ai/dsh-base",
"@deepseek-ai/dsh-web-app",
"dsh-plugin-fluffy-yard"
]
}
}
}
Activate:
dsh --profile pets
The terminal prints a URL. After entering the session, switch to the “Fluffy Yard” tab to start using it.
Typical Usage¶
- Daily: Click the food bowl or water bowl in the scene to add food for your pet.
- Adjust: Switch the art style in settings (geometric simple-line / soft cute hand-drawn).
- Collect: View and export profile card PNGs in the compendium or gallery.
Notes¶
- Save Risk: Clearing the browser’s site data will delete the yard save (exported PNGs are not affected).
- Statistics Logic: Visit statistics are calculated by calendar day; when multiple tabs are open in the same browser, the last saved state takes precedence.
- pnpm Version: If using pnpm ≥ 10, installation may prompt for authorization for build scripts; follow the prompts.
Summary¶
Fluffy Yard adds a lightweight sandbox environment to the DSH session panel. With its resizing-driven affection competition mechanics and rich art styles, it provides users with a complete closed-loop experience from keeping pets to collecting, while maintaining zero runtime dependencies.
