Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture. The existing web interface may not be intuitive enough for mobile operation. dsh-webui-m3e is a plugin that provides a mobile-oriented Material 3 Expressive-style interface for DSH. It connects through an independent web application, allowing AI interactions, tool execution results, and thinking processes to be viewed more comfortably on phone screens.

Feature Overview

The plugin provides the following capabilities:
1. AI Interaction and Views: Supports viewing AI interaction content, tool execution results, and thinking processes, and provides a switchable “Trace” view.
2. Operation Feedback: Handles tool approval and plan confirmation through bottom sheets.
3. Session Management: Centrally manages pending-reply sessions and ended sessions.
4. Input Enhancement: Supports image attachments, file/command suggestions, and model and permission switching.
5. Utilities: Includes session search, DSH settings/API key registration, and the ability to add the web application to the phone’s home screen.

Installation and Enablement

In a DSH 0.2.0-rc.2 environment, install the plugin via CLI. Make sure to specify the correct web runtime profile.

dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/AliceSaikawa/dsh-webui-m3e/releases/download/v0.0.8/dsh-webui-m3e-0.0.8.tgz

After installation, you need to append a path to the standard interface URL to access the new interface.

Usage

  1. Log in on the standard DSH interface (http://<host>/).
  2. Access the new interface: http://<host>/m3e/.
  3. Mobile Experience: On iPhone, open it in Safari, then choose “Add to Home Screen” from the share menu to make the web page feel like a native app.
  4. Interface Switching:
    • Toggle it in the standard interface under “Settings -> General -> Use M3E on this device”.
    • Or append the ?ui=m3e parameter to the URL.
    • Use ?ui=classic to force switch back to the default interface.

Maintenance and Rollback

When updating or rolling back versions, retrieve the tgz file URL for the corresponding version from the GitHub Release list and re-add it.

  • Update: Re-run the add command with the new version URL.
  • Rollback: Re-run the add command with the old version URL.
  • Remove: Use the command to remove the plugin.

Notes

  • Unofficial Project: This is a personal project, not an official DeepSeek product, and may contain potential bugs.
  • Language Limitation: Interface text only supports Japanese.
  • Compatibility Risk: The plugin includes DSH internal libraries and may be incompatible with certain DSH versions.
  • Test Status: Current testing mainly uses fake data and has not been verified in a real iPhone Safari environment or with an integrated real LLM.
  • Version Requirement: Only supports DSH 0.2.0-rc.2.

Conclusion

This plugin optimizes the DSH mobile operation experience through Material 3 Expressive design, making it suitable for developers who frequently debug or inspect Agent execution details on their phones.
