Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture. The Balance Whale Widget is a component within it used to display the balance, today’s used quota, and peak/off-peak pricing. This repository is an unofficial derivative based on the official dsh-whale-widget 0.3.9. While retaining core features such as balance, pricing, and sound effects, it adds interactive and visual enhancements.
Plugin Overview¶
- Name: 621758/dsh-whale-widget-pet-feed
- Positioning: Unofficial derivative of the DeepSeek Harness Balance Whale Widget (based on dsh-whale-widget 0.3.9)
- Features: Adds head-patting, head-pat sound effects, interaction statistics, and feeding buttons; all other features remain unchanged.
- License: MIT
- Installation:
npm i "https://github.com/621758/dsh-whale-widget-pet-feed"
Core Features¶
This plugin mainly includes the following four functional points:
- Head-pat image + head-pat sound effect
Triggered by a specific mouse swipe pattern, the character image switches to the head-pat image with a sound effect. It switches back after about 0.7 seconds of inactivity. - Interaction statistics
Provides a secondary panel in the menu where you can view today’s, this month’s, and total click counts and head-pat counts, with one-click reset. - Feeding buttons
Clicking the character expands three emoji buttons (🍚 / 🥤 / 🪙). After pressing one, the character image switches to the corresponding food image and returns after 2.2 seconds. - Built-in fallback images
The plugin package includes built-in fallback resources for the head-pat image and feeding images, preventing broken images caused by missing local files.
Installation and Activation¶
Before installing, ensure that dsh.profile.bundles already includes dsh-whale-widget (that is, the official version has already been installed).
Run the following command to install:
npm i "https://github.com/621758/dsh-whale-widget-pet-feed"
After installation, perform the following actions to make the changes take effect:
- Frontend changes (widget UI, head-pat, feeding, statistics): Hard refresh the browser (Ctrl + Shift + R).
- Host code changes (new image route): restart DSH (run
dsh web).
Usage¶
1. Head-pat image¶
Swipe left and right back and forth over the character. The following conditions must be met for it to trigger:
- At least 3 valid direction reversals in total.
- Completed within 1.4 seconds.
- Each swipe stroke has a movement distance of ≥ 12px.
After triggering, it switches back to the current state after about 0.7 seconds of inactivity. You can disable this feature or replace the head-pat image from the menu.
2. Feeding buttons¶
Click the character, and three emoji buttons (🍚, 🥤, 🪙) appear on the left side.
- Press a button: a sound effect plays, the character image switches to the corresponding food image, and returns after 2.2 seconds.
- If no action is taken, the buttons automatically retract after about 4.2 seconds.
3. Interaction statistics¶
Click the menu (☰) at the top-right corner of the character and open Interaction Statistics [View]:
- View the click count and head-pat count for today, this month, and the total.
- Click “Clear Statistics” to reset the data to zero.
Notes¶
- Preload mechanism: When the page is first opened, the head-pat image and three feeding images (about 6.6MB) are preloaded in the background. If preloading has not completed, image switching is not forced to avoid blank display.
- Restart and refresh: Host code changes (such as adding new routes) require restarting DSH; frontend changes require a hard browser refresh.
- Sound effect reuse: This derivative does not add new audio assets; all sound effects reuse the upstream sound-effect group mechanism.
Use Cases¶
This plugin is suitable for users who want to add more fun interactions (such as head-patting and feeding) to the little whale widget in the bottom-right corner of the DSH web interface. Because it is MIT licensed, developers can freely use and modify it, but the copyright notice should be retained.
