Preface¶
Under the plugin-based architecture of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), developers often need to obtain the runtime status of Kubernetes clusters from a browser or integrated environment. Calling kubectl directly may introduce risks such as excessive permissions or accidental operations. The dsh-wsl-k8s plugin provides a lightweight solution: it encapsulates the core query capabilities of kubectl as DSH commands, runs in a WSL environment, and is strictly limited to read-only mode.
Plugin Introduction¶
This plugin is maintained by user 173787247 and is licensed under the MIT License. It does not provide cluster modification capabilities and focuses on status viewing and log troubleshooting.
Installation and Enablement¶
Before installation, ensure that kubectl has a properly configured kubeconfig. Use the following command to install:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:173787247/dsh-wsl-k8s
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following read-only commands:
k8s_get: executeskubectl get, used to view resource lists.k8s_describe: executeskubectl describe, used to view detailed resource information.k8s_logs: retrieves Pod logs; output may be truncated.k8s_status: checks whetherkubectlis available and displays the current Context.
Limitations: This plugin does not support mutation operations such as apply, delete, exec, or port-forward.
Configuration and Notes¶
- Production Environment Security: For production clusters, it is recommended to explicitly configure
allowedContextsto restrict the accessible Context(s) and ensure that thekubeconfigitself follows the principle of least privilege. - Output Limitations: Output is subject to length limits, and Pod logs may be truncated.
- Suitable Use Cases: Suitable for troubleshooting and status viewing, but not for modifying cluster configuration.
