Introduction¶
In DeepSeek Harness (DSH) usage scenarios, local browsers typically access the Web UI through port :3081. However, within a LAN, if another device needs to access a service running in WSL (for example, a development server), port forwarding must be established at the Windows level.
In NAT mode, Windows localhost forwarding may be unstable, and mirroring network mode changes the network topology. dsh-wsl-expose is designed to address this scenario by managing Windows port proxying so that LAN clients can reliably access WSL services.
Plugin Overview¶
dsh-wsl-expose is a DeepSeek Harness plugin used to suggest or apply Windows port proxying rules, enabling LAN clients to access services listening inside WSL. It reads the networkingMode setting in .wslconfig.
- Version: 0.2.2
- Maintainer: 173787247
- License: MIT
- Dependency: DSH ≥ 0.1.2
Core Features¶
- Port proxy suggestion and application: Automatically suggests or applies Windows port proxying rules based on the configuration.
- Allowlist mechanism: Maintains an allow list to prevent arbitrary port exposure.
- Network mode awareness: Reads
networkingModein.wslconfigto help determine network forwarding behavior.
Installation and Enablement¶
To install this plugin, run the following command:
# 使用 LLM / full kit 集成安装
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/173787247/dsh-wsl-kit/master/install.sh | KIT_SET=llm bash
# 或仅安装该插件
dsh plugin --profile web add github:173787247/dsh-wsl-expose
After installation, restart the dsh web service and open a new session to use the wsl_expose tool.
Usage Scenarios and Notes¶
- LAN access only: This plugin only handles LAN / non-local port proxying.
- Local UI access: The local DeepSeek Harness UI should be accessed via the kit relay
:3081+ token, rather than exposing port 3080 through netsh port proxying. - Security restriction: Do not bind the dsh service to
0.0.0.0. - Version requirement: Ensure the DSH version is no lower than 0.1.2.
Conclusion¶
dsh-wsl-expose provides a standardized solution for exposing DSH services on a LAN. By reading WSL configuration and managing port proxying, it addresses connectivity pain points in NAT mode.
