DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a modular plugin architecture. In a typical development workflow, you often need to switch between a WSL Linux environment and Windows editors such as Cursor or VS Code. The dsh-wsl-editor plugin specifically addresses this pain point by providing a unified tool interface that maps WSL paths to local Windows editors.
Plugin Introduction¶
This plugin is part of the dsh-wsl-kit ecosystem. It provides a tool called win_editor, which is used to open a specified path in a Windows environment. It also provides the win_editor_status tool, which is used to check which editors are available in the current Windows PATH.
Installation and Activation¶
To install this plugin, run the following command. This plugin is version 0.1.1 and requires dsh version >= 0.1.2.
dsh plugin --profile web add github:173787247/dsh-wsl-editor
After installation, restart the dsh web service and open a new session. At that point, the win_editor and win_editor_status tools will be available.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides two core tools:
win_editor: Used to open files.win_editor_status: Used to check environment configuration.
Usage Examples¶
The win_editor tool accepts a path, plus optional editor name, line number, and column number.
Different editors handle these parameters differently:
- Cursor / VS Code: Uses the
-g file:line:columnparameter. The plugin automatically constructs this parameter to support jumping to a specific line and column. - Notepad: Does not support line and column jumping, so these parameters are ignored.
Environment and Dependencies¶
- Dependency Versions: This plugin requires
dsh >= 0.1.2andNode >= 18. - Affiliated Suite: It is part of
dsh-wsl-kit, and can be installed standalone or used via the kit’sfullcollection. - Cloud Flash: The plugin itself does not configure the Cloud Flash model. Cloud Flash uses the
deepseek-flash(V4.1 Flash) model.
Summary¶
dsh-wsl-editor simplifies the process of opening WSL paths in a Windows editor through the win_editor tool. For developers who need to review or edit code on the Windows side, this is a practical helper.
