Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts an “everything is a plugin” architecture. When developing agents, read-only probing of databases is a common requirement. The dsh-wsl-db plugin provides a solution for this, allowing queries to PostgreSQL and Redis via CLI tools.

Plugin Scope

This is a read-only psql + redis-cli probes plugin, maintained by user 173787247. It wraps common read-only commands for database clients and is suitable for connecting to databases for queries in a WSL environment.

Core Features

The plugin provides the following tools:

  • db_status: Provides CLI status checks and connection aliases.
  • db_psql: Supports SQL commands such as SELECT, WITH, SHOW, and EXPLAIN.
  • db_redis: Supports Redis commands such as PING, GET, INFO, and SCAN.

Installation and Enabling

The plugin is not included in the default install.sh and must be added manually. Run the following under the Web profile:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:173787247/dsh-wsl-db

Configuration Notes

Use named URIs in config.connections for easier management. The plugin prohibits arbitrary URL access by default, and redisHosts must specify a whitelist in the configuration.

Usage Examples

  • Use db_psql to run SELECT/WITH/SHOW/EXPLAIN.
  • Use db_redis to run PING/GET/INFO/SCAN…
