The system prompts for DeepSeek Harness (DSH) are usually composed of multiple sections. In everyday workflows, managing personal prompts, system prompt overrides, and configurations for different sessions can become complex. The following introduces the dsh-prompt-easymanager plugin, which centralizes these features and makes it easier to reuse configurations across different scenarios.

Plugin Purpose

This is a client-side plugin maintained by XialerMoies, designed to address fragmented management of DSH prompts. It allows users to add personal prompts, modify system prompts, and save these configurations as presets globally or for individual sessions.

Core Features

  1. Global and Session Management
You can set a default prompt combination for new sessions globally; you can also select a different prompt combination for an individual session, or explicitly opt out of injecting custom prompts.

  2. Enabling/Disabling Presets
After saving personal prompts, you can enable or disable them by preset, allowing flexible control over where prompts take effect.

  3. Overrides and Isolation
Override or exclude native DSH sections within the plugin’s own data, without modifying DSH’s native files. Override content is stored independently; presets only record whether an override tag is checked, and only checked entries are injected.

  4. Deletion Logic
When deleting an override, only the override content is removed and the corresponding tag is cleaned from the preset; the preset itself is not deleted.

  5. Final Prompt Preview
You can inspect the final prompt actually received by the model.

Installation and Activation

Install from GitHub using DSH:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:XialerMoies/dsh-prompt-easymanager#v0.3.9

Replace web with the actual DSH profile name you are using. Restart DSH Web after installation or update.

Data and Notes

  • Data Location: Presets, session selections, and the prompt library are stored under $DSH_HOME. Upgrading or uninstalling the plugin does not delete this user data. The prompt library is located at $DSH_HOME/prompts/, and the state file is $DSH_HOME/dsh-prompt-easymanager-state.json.
  • Reload Mechanism: Restart DSH after modifying plugin code; saving prompts in the plugin settings page immediately reloads and applies them.
  • Compatibility: The currently verified DSH versions are determined by the compatibility declaration in package.json; compatibility with unlisted versions is not guaranteed.
  • Feature Status: The preview feature is temporarily disabled in the current version, and the entry point will display “Being rebuilt, stay tuned.”

Summary

By centrally managing prompts and override logic, this plugin reduces the risk of directly modifying DSH native files. It is suitable for users who frequently switch workflows or need to manage complex prompt combinations.
