Preface

The core design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “Everything is a plugin.” As development needs grow, users often need to install multiple plugins into a profile to extend functionality. Managing these plugins one by one manually is not only tedious but also prone to dependency conflicts.

weibaohui/dsh-fde-tools is an aggregate plugin designed to solve the above issues. It packages 19 commonly used DSH plugins into a single installation and manages them in batch through a unified “FDE Toolbox” panel. One installation provides a full set of capabilities, including a Git server, knowledge base, scheduled tasks, and Agent team collaboration.

Plugin Overview

  • Name: weibaohui/dsh-fde-tools
  • Positioning: DSH all-in-one plugin bundle for batch management of 19 commonly used plugins.
  • Maintainer: weibaohui
  • License: MIT

Core Features

After installing this plugin, an “FDE Toolbox” is generated in the DSH settings panel. The panel lists all bundle members and their installation status:

  • Login Gate (user-management): Shows a pop-up when not logged in; supports users/roles/audit and TOTP verification.
  • Git Server (dsh-git-server): Embeds ts-gogs; supports HTTP clone/push, web-based operations, and issue/PR management.
  • WebDAV Mount Drive (dsh-webdav-server): Converts a shared directory into a mount drive; supports mounting on three platforms and token authentication.
  • Team Knowledge Base (dsh-kb): Supports browsing and full-text search, and automatically distills raw inputs.
  • Scheduled Tasks (dsh-tasks): Sets scheduled tasks through cron expressions and automatically starts a new Agent session.
  • Auto-Continue (dsh-continue): Automatically retries with backoff after session interruption; supports switching models or compressing context.
  • UI Fine-Tuning (dsh-settings-ui): Adjusts settings window size, opacity, and background.
  • Auto-Retrospective (hermes-loop): Automatically distills experience when a conversation concludes and generates reusable skills.
  • Session Workspace File Management (dsh-file-share): Provides file tree, preview, upload/download, and packaging features; supports @ to the Agent.
  • Smart Session Titles (dsh-smart-title): Uses an LLM to automatically rewrite session titles.
  • Agent-First Task Board (dsh-taskboard): Combines a task ledger with independent sessions.
  • Visual Plugin Marketplace (dshmarket): Browse and install plugins.
  • Context Dashboard (dsh-context): View context composition through the /context command.
  • IM Channel Integration (@xmanrui/dsh-im): Integrates 11 IM channel types.
  • VSCode-Style Sidebar (dsh-better-sidebar): Right sidebar; isolates Explorer, Editor, Terminal, and other resources by session.
  • Local QA Workbench (dsh-qa): End-to-end management of requirements/test cases/defects; supports real-time kanban and calendar.
  • Multi-Agent Team Formation (@nanmicoder/dsh-agent-teams): Form a multi-agent team with one sentence; supports persistent member collaboration and a DAG panel.
  • Execution Flow Diagram (dsh-flow): Draws the session execution process as a four-lane flowchart.
  • Usage Dashboard (dsh-dashboard): Tracks tokens/cost/models/tools; supports drag-and-drop orchestration and custom formulas.

Installation and Enablement

Use the following command to install the all-in-one plugin into the specified profile:

dsh plugin --profile web add @weibaohui/dsh-fde-tools

After installation, restart DSH. In Settings, find the “FDE Toolbox” panel to view member installation status. Click “Backfill” or “Install” to add missing members.

Notes for restart to take effect:
* Local direct access: If accessing via http://127.0.0.1:3080, the panel will show “Restart Now”; after clicking, DSH will automatically start a new process and refresh the page.
* LAN/service manager: For security reasons, the restart button is not displayed when accessing over LAN or via an HTTPS gateway; restart manually in the terminal. If DSH is managed by launchd or systemd, it is also recommended to restart it in the terminal.

Working Principle

This plugin uses a bootstrap to perform operations on the host side to ensure dependency and configuration correctness.

  1. Snapshot restoration mechanism
When pnpm runs the add command in a profile, it sometimes removes link: or file: dependencies. Before installation, the bootstrap snapshots dependencies and bundles to <profile>/.fde-tools-install-snapshot.json. After installation completes, it checks via diff and restores missing dependencies to prevent dependency loss.

  2. Build script interception
Some packages (such as better-sqlite3 and node-pty) have install-time build scripts, which pnpm blocks by default. The bootstrap recognizes ERR_PNPM_IGNORED_BUILDS errors, automatically adds the allowBuilds configuration item to pnpm-workspace.yaml, and retries the installation.

  3. Member deduplication
If a member already exists in the profile’s dependencies (whether an npm package, link, or GitHub spec), the bootstrap automatically skips it and does not override the existing installation method.

Environment Variables

The following environment variables can adjust installation behavior:

  • DSH_FDE_TOOLS_PROFILE: Manually specify the name or absolute path of the associated profile (default: automatically scans ~/.dsh/profiles).
  • DSH_FDE_TOOLS_PNPM: Manually specify the pnpm executable path (default probes in the order PATH → ~/.local/bin/pnpm → the host’s corresponding same-prefix pnpm.cjs).
  • DSH_HOME: Specify the DSH home directory (default ~/.dsh).

Compatibility and Notes

  • Version requirements: Only supports DeepSeek Harness >= 0.1.7-rc.2; Node.js >= 22.5 is required.
  • Permissions and security: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Please review the source code and license before installing.
  • Ecosystem context: DSH and its plugin ecosystem have no affiliation with DeepSeek or High-Flyer official; community directories (such as SkillHub) are independent sites.

Summary

weibaohui/dsh-fde-tools greatly lowers the barrier for DSH users to extend workflows through plugin aggregation. Whether it is basic service setup, file management, or advanced Agent team collaboration and process visualization, it can be managed one-stop in a single panel.
