Introduction

The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin,” which means developers can enhance native capabilities through extensions. A common pain point in agent development is that long conversations discussed with DeepSeek often require manual copying and re-explaining requirements before they can be handed to a DSH Agent for execution. This is not only time-consuming but also prone to losing context during the copying process.

SpecsRelay is a workflow plugin designed for this purpose. It directly connects DeepSeek conversations with DSH Agents, turning conversations into structured development requirements and eliminating the need for manual organization.

Plugin Positioning

  • Plugin name: SpecsRelay for DeepSeek Harness
  • Developer: TinyPandaGame
  • Category: Workflow
  • Core value: Converts DeepSeek conversations into development requirements for DSH Agents to execute.

Core Features

This plugin mainly addresses the conversion from conversation to task, with the following capabilities:

  1. One-click organization: Extracts goals, constraints, and acceptance criteria from a complete conversation. Depending on the content, the plugin applies clarification, coverage checks, and revision cleanup.
  2. Switchable enhancement service: For long conversations, you can choose to disable the service, use Jev, or use a self-provided Laya service. The filtered content is then used by the original organization model to generate requirements.
  3. On-demand clarification: The plugin can bring pending questions back to DeepSeek for discussion, then continue the development workflow after the discussion is completed.
  4. Long task handoff: After organizing the current progress, the task can be passed to a new session in the same project to continue execution.
  5. Reuse of existing models: By default, it directly uses the models already configured in DSH, without requiring repeated key entry.

Installation and Activation

Before installing, ensure that DeepSeek Harness or DSH Desktop is installed. The installation method depends on the client type:

1. Official DeepSeek Harness Desktop

Install github:TinyPandaGame/SpecsRelay-DSH from the Plugins page in the application, then restart the application after installation.

2. anywhere-labs community-edition DSH Desktop

Run the following command to install:

npx --yes github:TinyPandaGame/SpecsRelay-DSH install --app "/Applications/DSH Desktop.app"

Restart the client after installation.

Usage

After enabling the plugin, proceed with the specific development workflow:

  1. Open SpecsRelay in the sidebar, log in to DeepSeek, and discuss your ideas.
  2. Click Organize Current Conversation, and the system will automatically generate requirements. Review the generated requirements and add any pending questions.
  3. Select the corresponding project, then click Send to DSH and Start Processing.

Notes

  • Client limitation: This plugin only supports the anywhere-labs community-edition DSH Desktop.
  • Enhancement service disabled by default: The “Long Conversation Enhancement” feature is disabled by default. To use it, expand “Long Conversation Enhancement” in the sidebar, select a service, and save. Using Jev requires configuring a TypeSafe Key; using Laya requires entering the running service address and the optional model name.
  • Failure fallback: If the enhancement service fails to process, the plugin will automatically organize using the full conversation.
  • Session handoff: The Jev session handoff routing feature must be enabled separately.
  • Unofficial product: This is an independent community plugin, not an official DeepSeek product.

Conclusion

By automating conversation organization, SpecsRelay lowers the barrier to turning ideas into code. For teams developing with DSH, it significantly improves workflow efficiency from requirement discussion to Agent execution.
