In the use of DSH, managing skills (SKILL.md) and MCP servers often requires switching to the command line or directly editing configuration files, resulting in fragmented and error-prone operations. dsh-skills-mcp-manager aims to solve this problem by unifying the management of these two types of configurations into a single settings panel page.

What It Is

This is a DSH plugin designed to provide a unified settings panel for managing skills and MCP servers. It supports both global and project-level configuration layers, and changes take effect immediately. The plugin is maintained by j62268781-alt and is released under the MIT license.

Core Features

  • DSH Settings Panel Integration: Directly manage skills and MCP servers from the settings page, without editing configuration files.
  • Layered Management: Supports both global and project-level configuration layers, each managed independently.
  • Skill Management: Supports browsing lists, searching, previewing full content, and creating, renaming, and deleting skills.
  • MCP Status Monitoring and Reconnection: Monitors MCP connection status in real time and supports one-click reconnection.
  • Tool Registry Filtering: Supports filtering the tool registry. You can choose to “keep only checked” or “block only checked” tools to avoid unnecessary Token consumption.
  • MCP Import: Supports importing MCP configurations from 26 sources (such as Claude Code, Cursor, and others).
  • Zero Runtime Dependencies: Does not depend on additional third-party runtime libraries and reuses the host’s existing React and YAML.

Installation and Enabling

  1. Install the plugin using the following command:
dsh plugin --profile web add @j62268781-alt/dsh-skills-mcp-manager
  1. After installation, restart DSH and refresh the page.
  2. Go to Settings -> Skills & MCP to get started.

Typical Usage

  • Skill Management: In the skills panel, use the search function to quickly locate a skill. Click a card to preview the SKILL.md content. This supports creating, renaming, and deleting skills.
  • MCP Management: In the MCP panel, view the connection status of each server. For disconnected connections, click the “…” menu on the card and select “Reconnect” to restore the connection.
  • Tool Filtering: Expand an MCP card to see all tools registered by that server. By checking or unchecking tools, you can control which tools are included in the tool registry.

Notes

  • When processing configurations, the plugin automatically creates backups and never throws exceptions to avoid corrupting the DSH profile configuration.
  • MCP servers that require authorization are shown with a yellow status rather than a red failure status.
  • The plugin has no runtime dependencies and is small in size.
